I have spent most of my life raising a family and doing business in Bellevue. I’ve been a coach, a volunteer, and group leader. I have helped develop and support highly functioning business teams. And I have put my values, experience, and resources to work to support the efforts of numerous local nonprofits.

As an active neighbor and community leader, I am deeply invested in the success and wellbeing of our community. I want to support public safety, transportation, parks and open space, and the environment. These are top priorities for me and our community.

I believe all voices should be heard and everyone should have a seat at the table when plans are created, and decisions are made.

The issues that the city council deals with are vital to the daily lives of our citizens. I want to work with all community members as we strive to make the vision of a welcoming, safe and prosperous city a reality. I am running for Bellevue City Council because I want to support and give back to the community that has given so much to me and my family. As a servant leader and city council member, I will continue to advocate for common sense solutions that keep us all moving forward.

About Me

Dave was born in Everett, Washington in 1966 minutes before his identical twin brother. His family moved to Bellevue’s Newport Hills neighborhood when he was four years old, where he attended Newport Heights Elementary School. Later, Dave’s family moved to the Totem Lake neighborhood of Kirkland.

With deep roots in the Bellevue community, Dave started a small delivery business that he operated out of his apartment on NE 8th Street, and later merged it with a startup delivery firm in Bellevue.

A few years later Dave went back out on his own and founded Delivery Express, Inc. He started from humble beginnings, opening the company in a one room office in Kent with three drivers and one staff member. Dave has proudly grown his company to a 30 person staff, 200 drivers, and locations in Tukwila and Spokane.

Dave and his wife have a blended family of 6 kids ranging in age from 20-34 years old, 5 of which were born at Overlake Hospital. One of his daughter’s is currently attending Bellevue College.

Committed to public service, Dave is Chair of the Bellevue Parks and Community Services Board, and serves on the Board and Executive Committee of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce. He also serves on the Bellevue College Business Advisory Board, Save Coal Creek Steering Committee, and is involved in Leadership Eastside. Prior Board service includes Chair of the Bellevue Chamber Transportation Committee, Chair of the Bellevue Chamber Policy Council, and board member at The Sophia Way.
